The trial of Ramoni Abbas, the Instagram celebrity popularly known as Hushpuppi, has been put on hold till 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is contained in the chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright. His trial will now resume by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021, the Judge said.
Recall that he was arrested months ago in Dubai alongside his friend Woodberry and others, and they were taken to the U.S. for prosecution.
The 37-year-old is facing four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.
