Police Uncovers Ritualist Shrine, Discovers 20 Corpse in Edo
The Edo state police command says it has uncovered a shrine used by ritualists at Asoro slope, off Ekenwan road in Benin City.
In a statement made available to LagospyNG late Wednesday night by the deputy police public relations officer of the command ASP Jennifer Iwegbu, said twenty dried corpse of fifteen male, three female and two children were discovered at the scene by men of the command who invaded the area after credible information.
She stressed that three suspects Chimaobi Okoewu, Oko Samuel and Gideon Sunday were arrested at the shrine as others escaped after sighting the police.
According to the police, manhunt for the fleeing Suspects have begun, while residents of Benin and environs have been advised to report suspicious person’s to the nearest police station.
