Hushpuppi: TwitterNG Reacts To Abba Kyari’s Extradition
Nigerians are beginning to react on Twitter ever since the news of policeman, Abba Kyari’s likely extradition to the US broke
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) on Thursday, filed an application before the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja for Kyari’s extradition.
US had requested that Kyari should be extradited over alleged $1.1million wire fraud involving Abass Ramon aka Hushpuppi and four others.
Reacting, a tweep, Tosin Hexemty said, “Now that the FG has approved Hushpuppi’s SSA, Abba Kyari to be extradited, fingers crossed for a lot of drama. That drama that you can’t finish watching (‘season film’).”
Isaac Obasi tweeted, “If this comes to pass a lot of rot in the #PoliceNG will be revealed and many heads will roll because Abba Kyari wasn’t alone in his Yahoo/drug business.”
Omotayo of Lagos opined, “If not for the involvement of Hushpuppi and the level of crime and atrocities he had committed, I’m so sure Nigeria government will never agree to extradite Abba Kyari to the US. Just relax and watch how a lot of influential people will be exposed in these coming days.”
