On Thursday, 9th January, 2020, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made an unscheduled visit to CMS Schools Complex, Ilaje, Bariga, which is the venue of the Teachers Training Programme under the EKOEXCEL Initiative, of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board.
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu during his visit at the venue of the Teachers Training Programme under the EKOEXCEL Initiative, had interaction with over 2,000 teachers currently in training at CMS schools complex.

Hence Gov. Sanwo-Olu remarked that, teachers’ continous welfare is also very important while he assured the Head Teachers of a better welfare package and announced that they will all get official vehicles to compliment their effort and boost productivity.
“They used to say that Teacher’s reward is in heaven. In Lagos State, all diligent Teachers will get their rewards while they are alive. As a form of reward for your efforts, we are going to give head teachers official vehicles. We expect this will get you more committed to discharge your duty.” Gov. Sanwo-Olu said.

According to a statement made by H.E Sanwo-Olu, he said; “Today, I stopped over at CMS Schools, Bariga, the venue of the ongoing training for primary school teachers. We are working with Bridge International Academies to improve our
curriculum, digitize it and further enhance the quality of education in the state.

“The capacity building program is a key component in our administration’s education blueprint which seeks to deploy technology to fundamentally transform the basic education template.”

He further reiterated its administration commitment saying its administration is creating a situation where school will be attractive to children, irrespective of social background.

In conclusion, Gov. Sanwo-Olu said it’s administration will ensure that education and welfare of the children and teachers training will be priority while he admonish that the first effort to shape the children future is to make them look forward to going to school every day in their formative years as it is always said that the children are the future of tomorrow.
