FG In Agreement With Israeli Company To Drive Ethanol Production

President Buhari-led administration has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the DOR Group of Israel to further drive the production of ethanol in the country.

LagosspyNg gathered that Ogbonnaya Onu, who heads the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister of State, Mohammed Abdullahi, together with the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Bello Umar, signed the MoU on behalf of the Federal Government.

The Federal Government pledged  to execute to the letter the terms and the spirit of the agreement.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Abdulganiyu Aminu.

In the statement titled ‘FG, Isreal sign pact on methanol production’, the minister said the agreement would significantly change the fortunes of Nigeria.

Abdullahi said the methanol technology would expand the chemical industry value-chain, replace kerosene as household cooking fuel and contribute to efficient and effective transportation.

On his part, Asor said the quality and efficient engineering for which Israeli firms were well known for would be brought to bear in the implementation of the agreement.
