The National Vice President of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, Comrade Yinka Folarin, led Elder Areola Abraham, a victim of the suspended Oba Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi the Olorile of Orile Ifo (Suspended) in Ogun State, to Falana & Falana’s Chamber at Adekunle Fajuyi, GRA, Ikeja. The briefing, which took place around 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, attracted Femi Falana’s usual attention, and he expressed his commitment to ensuring justice is served.

Falana assured the victim that his fundamental rights would be upheld and that the chamber would provide the necessary legal assistance. Comrade Soyombo Sunday, a former chairman of CDHR Ogun and a human rights investigator, was also present during the audience.

Comrade Yinka Folarin appreciated Falana’s commitment to the cause of the downtrodden, the emancipation of an egalitarian society and a world where human rights are respected by all.

In another twist of development, the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights has gotten a hint about the suspended Oba Semiu Ogunjobi’s inability to meet his bail conditions. Investigations revealed that Oba Ogunjobi provided a false name, “Abdul Semiu,” in his extrajudicial statement to the police, which was then reflected on the charge sheet. This discrepancy has made it impossible for him to perfect his bail.

Furthermore, this development may also be viewed as a case of perjury, as Oba Ogunjobi allegedly lied under oath about his identity in court. His real name, “Semiu Adewale Ogunjobi,” is listed on his national identity card and bank details
