Ekiti: House of Assembly Elect, Abimbola Solanke Reiterate Commitment and Service to Constituents

 

 

The Ekiti State House of Assembly elect in Moba Constituency 1, Mrs Abimbola Solanke has appreciated residents of the constituency for trooping out in their large numbers to vote for her during the just concluded State Assembly election.

The APC candidate, who defeated other contestants from PDP and SDP to clinch the seat also thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Former Governor Kayode Fayemi, leaders of APC, chiefs and traditional rulers in the council area for given her opportunity to serve her people.

Addressing newsmen in Otun Ekiti, Moba Local Government, Mrs Solanke pledged to embark on programmes that would have positive impact on the lives of the constituents.

Mrs Solanke explained that she would facilitate employment opportunity, health care services, women empowerment programmes and other opportunities to better the lots of members of the constituency.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC in Ekiti State released the results of the state house of Assembly election yesterday Sunday, 19th, March, 2023.

According to a statement by the commission’s Head of Voters Education and Publicity, Mr Temitope Akanmu; “All Progressive Congress, APC won twenty three seats out of the twenty six sets in the Assembly.

The APC candidates who won in their various constituencies include, the Deputy Speak, Hakeem Jamiu (Irepodun/Ifelodun II); House Committee on Media and Publicity Chairman, Adeoye Aribasoye (Ikole II); Former Commissioner for Environment, Iyabo Fakunle-Okhimen (Ilejemeje); Abimbola Solanke (Moba 1); Adeyinka Adegbite (Ado !) and Bolaji Olagbaju (Ado II).

Others include Adeteju Okuyiga (Ayekire/Gbonyin), Yinka Olowookere (Efon), Oluwole Akanle (Ekiti East II), Kareem Atunbiade (Ekiti West 1), Johnson Bode-Adeoye (Ekiti West II), Anthony Adaramodu (Ekiti Southwest 1), Michael Ige (Ekiti Southwest II) Ebenezar Ayorinde (Ido/Osi 2), Ademola Ojo (Ijero), Babatunde Oke (Ikere 1), Babatunde Idowu (Ikere II), Sunday Fatunla (Ikole 1), Olanrewaju Akindele (Irepodun/Ifelodun 1), Adeyemi Awoniyi (Moba II), Ademola Longe (Oye 1) and Sunday Odebunmi (Oye II).

However, candidates of the Social Democracratic Party, SDP, in Ekiti East constituency one, Mr Dele Ogunsakin and that of the Ise/ Orun constituency, Mr Omotayo Babatunde won two seats in the Assembly by defeating their closest rivals, from the APC candidates, while INEC declares Ido/OSI constituency one election, inconclusive.
