In compliance with some state governments ban on religious services of more than 50 worshippers, The Redeem Christian Church of God has ordered a slight alterations in the mode of services in her parishes in Lagos and Ogun states.
This directive is contained in an internal memo to the branches to comply with the ban placed on religious gatherings as a precautionary step to curtailed the further spread of the coronavirus disease.
In an internal memo signed by the Assistant General Overseer of Administration & Personnel, Pastor J.F. Odeshola, the Mission Authority instructed that parishes with an average of 50 members or less can hold services while those with more than 50 attendance should ” make use of their House Fellowship Centres to run simultaneous services with the main church “.
Parishes that has facility for more services should ensure worshippers do not ” exceed 50 people per service “. With all Parishes requested to join Dove TV for a live broadcast, ” one supervising Minister and an usher could be seconded to each Centre for collation of necessary reports” on attendance, the statement added.
