Covid-19: NURTW Chairman Mc Oluomo Put Smiles on over 3,000 Residents in Oshodi

Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, Chairman of Lagos State National Union of Road transport Workers (NURTW) put smiles on the faces of Oshodi residents as he gift food packages and money to over 3000 residents of Oshodi, Mafoluku and Shogunle as part of relief to cushion the effect of Covid-19 lockdown in the state.

The palliative food packages which include Yam, raw meat,noodles, rice, garri, palm oil and money e.t.c were disbursed to the aged and vulnerable people within Oshodi–Isolo Local Government areas in order to compliment the efforts of the Lagos State Government and reduce the hardship of the lockdown on the residents today 13 April, 2020.

While distributing the giveaways, Mc Olumo used the medium to advice NURTW members, including motor cycle and tricycle riders, popularly called Okada and Maruwa to adhere to the Federal and State governments orders as regards the lockdown on movement. He also implore all NURTW members especially the branch Chairmen to be vigilant and assist their various communities in combating the day light robberies that are currently being reported in different areas.

In concluding, the NURTW Chairman enjoined all members to endure for the time being otherwise any member caught either attached to robbery or caught on the scene of the act will be totally dismissed and prosecuted by law.

He pleaded with the people to stay indoor because it is for the general good. He prayed that Nigeria will not experience what other countries are currently experiencing as regards the Coronavirus.
