Efforts to put buildings in check continue to intensify as the Lagos State Government sealed  another 11 buildings in Omole Phase 1, Ojodu.

In an enforcement operation carried out recently, the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, stated that all the property were sealed due to lack of planning and demolition permits as well as stage certification.

He said that Government was determined not to allow willful violation of the Physical Planning laws of Lagos State, enjoining developers and property owners to desist from engaging quacks or charlatans in obtaining Planning Permits as the State Government is prepared to crack down heavily on fake permit peddlers.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Urban Development, Mr. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, urged all stakeholders in the built environment to follow due process by contacting the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority, LASPPPA, for Planning Permit and the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), for stage certification at every stage of construction.
