Lagos Speaker Obasa Son, Appointed Acting Chairman Agege L.G.A.
The Agege Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon. Tunde Azeez embarks on Medical leave and hands over the affairs of the Council to his Vice, Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, who is the son to the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
The Agege Legislative Council Approve the Appointment of its Councils Vice Chairman, Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa as Acting-Chairman as its executive Chairman, Tunde Azeez proceeds on Medical leave in England.
In a decisive sitting held on August 25, the Agege Legislative Council, under the leadership of Hon. Adeshina Haruna Adeshina, adopted two key resolutions aimed at preserving administrative stability and reinforcing its commitment to public welfare.
The Council approved a medical leave of absence for her executive Chairman, Hon. Tunde Azeez to undergo specialized treatment in United Kingdom.
The resolution reflects the Council’s concern for the health of its political office holders and others.
In line with procedural guidelines, Hon. Abdulganiyu Vinod Obasa, Vice Chairman, was appointed Acting Chairman to oversee the affairs of Agege Local Government Area during Hon. Tunde Azeezs absence.
The Legislative Council expressed full confidence in Obasa’s capacity to lead with integrity and competence, ensuring continuity in governance and service delivery.
Hon. Adeshina Haruna emphasized the importance of synergy between the Executive and Legislative arm. He urged stakeholders to embrace collaboration and shared responsibility in order to drive sustainable development across Agege.
