Army Rescued Kidnapped Victims, Recovered N2,400,000 Cash in Delta
Human Rights activist & Security Consultant Harrison Gwamnishu in company of Delta State Government House Tracker, troops of the 63 Brigade, Asaba, mobilized to rescue kidnapped victims, one Mr. Igiri Samuel, staff of Seth Integrated Farms and Miss Mercy Itesh who were kidnapped and rescued by the joint security forces, the security operation recovered N2,400,000 cash, 52 live rounds of ammunition, and one AK-47 rifle.
Harrison narrated on his official Facebook profile, “On Friday, 15th August 2025, a driver, Mr. Igiri Samuel, staff of Seth Integrated Farms, was abducted alongside Miss Mercy Iteshi behind the Oshimili North Local Government Headquarters, Akwu-Akwu Igbo, Delta State.
“Following intelligence provided to us on 17th August 2025 by management of Seth and acting on hydra intelligence led by the Delta State Government House Tracker, troops of the 63 Brigade, Asaba, mobilized and trailed the kidnappers from Atuma-Iga down to Otulu, Aniocha South LGA.”
The suspects were engaged in a fierce gun battle, leading to the neutralization of three armed kidnappers.
The recovered items include: ₦2,400,000 cash, 52 live rounds of ammunition, One AK-47 rifle, Mobile phones and other valuables.
The female victim and a military personnel sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
