NURTW Members Move To Reconcile With LGA Executives

The leader of National Union of Road Transport Workers ( NURTW) in Lagos, Alhaji Akinsanya Ayinde (Mc Oluomo) has made moves to reconcile the members and Local Government Executives.

The move was to ensure a peaceful Lagos and create a good working relationship.

According to reports, in some Local Government Areas, the NURTW members mobilized themselves and prevented the hoodlums from vandalizing properties.

However, the stories was not the same in other council areas because the NURTW members stood aloof and did nothing to stop the hoodlums from their criminal acts simply because there was no cordial relationship between the council executives and the NURTW officials of such locality.

A statement sent to LagospyNG says the Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu had mandated the NURWT leadership to restore peace and harmony between the two parties in order to stop such ugly occurrence.

Acting on this mandate, Mc Oluomo has visited 22 Local government and Local Community Development Arrear, which include : BADAGRY LOCAL GOVERNMENT , ALIMOSHO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ISOLO LCDA, ITIRE-IKATE LCDA, SURULERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, MAINLAND LOCAL GOVERNMENT, YABALCDA, IFAKO IJAYE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, AGBOYI KETU LCDA, IKOSI ISHERI LCDA to mention but a few.

The visit to each of the council has been extremely fruitful because where there had been rancour bothering on revenue, it was amicably resolved and where there was no rancour, the relationship has been further strengthened.
